چکیده

The number of determinations of tocopherols in muscle tissue reported in the literature is small. This may be due to the complexity and timeconsuming technique of both the chemical and biological methods, as well as to the poor agreement between the two assays. An accurate account of the chemical assay of vitamin E has recently been compiled in Dr. K. C. D. Hickman’s 1aboratory.l The fact that the chemical determinations usually yielded smaller values than the bioassays was probably due to hydrolysis of the extracts to eliminate fats and filtration through an adsorbent earth to separate the tocopherols from carotenes. These procedures were found to be unnecessary if the method of I&units and Beaver (1, 2) for the determination of tocopherols in the presence of fats was applied to muscle extracts.

The effect of 8 weeks endurance exercise on the content of total and phosphorylated AKT1, mTOR, P70S6K1 and 4E-BP1 in skeletal muscle FHL of rats with type 2 diabetes

Introduction: The mTOR pathway in skeletal muscle plays a very important role in the protein synthesis process, which plays a very important role in proteins. The role of endurance exercise has not yet been studied in this important pathway in protein synthesis in people with type 2 diabetes. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of 8 weeks endurance training on the con...

Tocopherol Content and Fatty acid Profile of Different Iranian Date Seed Oils

Date is one of the world’s oldest food-producing plants wich has always played an important role in the economy and social life. Various researchers examined chemical composition and nutritional values of edible parts of dates while limited information about chemical composition and nutritional quality of date seed is available. In this study, fatty acid composition and total tocopherol content...

Vitamin E isoform-specific inhibition of the exercise-induced heat shock protein 72 expression in humans.

Increased levels of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, as seen in response to exercise, challenge the cellular integrity. Important protective adaptive changes include induction of heat shock proteins (HSPs). We hypothesized that supplementation with antioxidant vitamins C (ascorbic acid) and E (tocopherol) would attenuate the exercise-induced increase of HSP72 in the skeletal muscle and in ...

Comparison of the Alterations of Gene Expression Related to Signaling Pathways of Synthesis and Degradation of Skeletal Muscle Protein Induced by Two Exercise Training Protocols

Background and Objectives: Skeletal muscle mass depends on the balance between synthesis and degradation of muscle protein, which changes with aging and disease. The aim of the present reserch was to examine the effects of two exercise training protocols on alterations of some genes involved in pathways of protein synthesis and degradation in order to achieve a more effective training program i...

Background and Objectives: The most important mechanism of protein synthesis muscle is the mTORC1 pathway in skeletal muscle in which very important proteins play role. Diabetes disturbs this pathway through generating resistance to insulin. The effect of high intensity interval training (HIIT) has not been studied yet on this important pathway in type 2 diabetes. Therefore, the purpose of the ...
